4 Crossroads

9 12 2007

“Crossroads”. 1 great song. 4 different versions. My uncles will appreciate this.
Robert Johnson is one of Clapton’s biggest influences. He’s covered several of his songs and even dedicated entire recordings to his work. But the videos below show how a great song can be re-interpreted for decades and still be a great song. I love this stuff.

Robert Johnson “Crossroads”

Cream “Crossroads” (1968)

Eric Clapton “Crossroads”

Eric Clapton and John Mayer “Crossroads”.
He looks like he’s not even trying to play real solo, but still works magic.

Man that’s some good stuff! Click here for a guitar battle bonus!

🙂 Isn’t music great?!?!
I’ve listened to the version with John Mayer about 8 times in the last 3 days. I have the 1968 version on the iPod.
